The swimming advisories that were posted on beaches in Atlantic City, Ventnor and Margate on Tuesday, June 12 have all been lifted as of 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 after lab results from resampled ocean waters indicated bacteria levels were all within recreational bathing standards, according to the Atlantic County Division of Public Health.

High bacteria levels may result from storm water runoff from heavy rainfall as occurred on Sunday, June 10 and early Monday, June 11, the day the original samples were taken. Bacteria levels often change with the weather, tides and currents.
