Cynthia Walker of Ventnor shows one of her favorite dresses at the Ventnor Library.

VENTNOR – The Atlantic County Library will host the “Senior Flair” fashion show 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5 at the library, 6500 Atlantic Ave. Seniors with pizazz are invited to model their most colorful and dramatic outfits during the show. Tea sandwiches and desserts will be part of the festivities.

Cynthia Walker of Ventnor, who works at the library has several of her favorite dresses in the display case at the library to promote the event, along with books about fashion and the icons who wear it well.

One of the dresses is a black sheath she wore to several formal affairs and the beaded ivory wool crepe suit she wore for her second marriage. Another heavily beaded cocktail dress with a flouncy skirt is on display in the library.

“I love this dress. I wish it would come back into style,” the fashion savvy senior said.

Ms. Senior New Jersey America Suzie Neustadter will be one of the judges, Walker said.

“This is just a fun thing to do for our seniors,” Walker said.

Ten women and one man have signed up to model during the show, but others are welcome to join in the fun.

“We’re open for entries,” Walker said.
