VENTNOR CITY – The Ventnor Business Association presents the “Welcome Stockton” Music Festival 3-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Newport Avenue beach pavilion, located behind the Ventnor Library, 6500 Atlantic Ave. Raindate is Sunday Sept. 9.

The event is being held to welcome Stockton students and faculty to their new home in neighboring Atlantic City.

Local musicians, crafters and businesses will converge on the lawn and beach to introduce their services, entertain and create community.

“We have also partnered with Stockton’s Day of Service and will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey,” VBA’s Deana Bonafiglia-Ruiz said in a release.

The most needed foods are canned meals, soups, peanut butter & canned fruits.

The family-friendly community event features playtime for youngsters along with face painting and various food and crafts vendors and community organizations.

Line up of events:

• 3 p.m. Drum circle
• 4 p.m. Belly dancing performance and instruction
• 4:45 p.m. Live music by Even Betta
• 5:30 p.m. Fashion Show
• 6-9 p.m. Live music by The Jugband
