MAYS LANDING – In recognition of September as National Preparedness Month, the Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs will host a free workshop, Introduction to Emergency Preparedness for Arts and Cultural Organizations, 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the Atlantic County Veterans Museum, 189 Route 50.

Emergency Preparedness Consultant Ellen Korpar will discuss how participants may position themselves and their organizations for success in the face of an emergency. Participants will learn how to create a disaster plan and mutual aid agreements, identify and discuss business continuity issues, and receive information about available resources. The workshop will also help organizations think about how to support one another and promote healing within the community following a disaster.

The workshop is presented in cooperation with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the South Jersey Cultural Alliance.
