MARGATE – The Willliam H. Ross Elementary School got the 2018-2019 school year off to a good start with sweet treats for its youngest students.

The Margate Education Foundation hosted an ice cream social for the school’s 20 new kindergarten students Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Children enjoyed a little story time before some of the school’s older students served up chocolate and vanilla ice creme sundaes, compete with candy toppings, chocolate syrup and whipped cream.

The event is designed to eliminate apprehension and fears for the little ones before the start of school on Thursday.
