VENTNOR – Teachers and administrators at the Ventnor Educational Community Complex welcomed students to the first day of the 2018-2019 school year, Thursday, Sept. 6.

Hundreds of children donned new sneakers and backpacks filled with all the necessary school supplies needed to be successful this school year.

Although there were a few tears, most of the students were eager to get back to their school days routine.

Eighth grader Cooper Kane said he was looking forward to learning new things in science class.

Social studies and science was on sixth grader Michael Escoto’s mind, but also was seeing his friends.

“I missed my friends over the summer,” he said.
