VENTNOR – Due to the inclement weather, the Ventnor Business Association has cancelled today’s Welcome Stockton Music Festival, which was to take place at the park behind the Ventnor Library 3-9 p.m.
“We are so sorry to have to do this, but due to the weather forecast, we’ve decided to postpone the Stockton concert,” organizers posted on the VBA Facebook page.
The raindate was Sunday, Sept. 9, but the weekend looks like a windy washout, organizers said.
Although the event was cancelled VBA will be accepting non-perishable food items at Sea La Vie, 6616 Ventnor Ave., to donate to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey Southern Branch.
The VBA will meet with city officials this week to determine if the event can be rescheduled, hopefully, in mid-October.
The event included music, food, crafts, belly dancing and a drum circle.
