ATLANTIC CITY – AtlantiCare will host a Men’s Health Day, 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 15 at the William L. Gormley AtlantiCare HealthPlex, 1401 Atlantic Ave. The organization will offer free screenings for prostate cancer, heart disease and diabetes on a research study to those who qualify. Reservations are recommended.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives of AtlantiCare’s Cancer Care Institute, Heart Institute, and TEAM Diabetes, and to have a blood pressure assessment. Attendees who visit all educational tables will receive a $20 gift card from AtlantiCare.

Screenings for a prostate cancer research study are open to all men ages 35-80, and men ages 30-80 who are African American and/or have a family history of prostate cancer.

Screenings will include a prostate exam and blood tests for PSA (prostate specific antigen), cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, testosterone, and sugar levels.
