VENTNOR – Beginning Monday, Sept. 24 and through Oct. 26, the Ventnor City Water and Sewer Department will be testing fire hydrants and flushing the water mains.

Testing will begin at Jackson Avenue and proceed south to Fredericksburg Avenue, followed by the Ventnor West area and finally Ventnor Heights.

Residents may notice a discoloration of tap water, but it is not harmful and will clear within a few hours. Residents should avoid washing clothes, especially whites, while the water is discolored.

Be advised that there may be periods of low water pressure when the flushing is being done.

Residents with questions may call the Public Works Department at 609-823-7935.
