VENTNOR – The Board of Commissioners Sept. 27 recognized some of the volunteers who made summer fun for residents and visitors.

Commissioners Lance Landgraf and Tim Kriebel presented them with certificates of appreciation for their work organizing the Ventnor City Farmers Market and getting the new pickleball program up and running. Mayor Beth Holtzman was not present.

Andy and Penny Starer and Maria Gatta were honored for being the “heart and soul” of the farmers market, which Landgraf said was a “huge success.”
