Authorities are investigating the disappearance of a Somers Point man who went missing Saturday, Oct. 20 after he went crabbing in Ocean City, police said.

Samuel J. DeLarso, 53, of 2nd Street in Somers Point, was last seen by family members at his home early Saturday morning. His vehicle was located in Ocean City parked on W. Newcastle Road.

DeLarso is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. The morning of the disappearance he was wearing blue jeans, a button down shirt and waders, according to a press release Monday by the Ocean City Police Department.

The U.S. Coast Guard, New Jersey State Police Marine Unit, Cape May County Prosecutors Office and the Ocean City Police Department conducted a search of the waters in the area where DeLarso went missing.

The case remains under investigation by the Ocean City Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutors Office.
