Tickets are now on sale for South Jersey’s premier food and beverage fundraising event. The 36th annual Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala will be held Thursday, March 14 at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center Avalon Ballroom in Atlantic City.

The annual event celebrates food by highlighting hors d’oeuvres prepared by students in the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape and showcasing the specialties of 40 of the region’s best restaurants during a progressive dining experience.

This year’s event will recognize the many contributions of community honoree Mark Giannantonio, president and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel, and celebrate the Academy of Culinary Arts honorees, Kelsey and Kimberly Jackson, the talented husband-and-wife team and owners of Kelsey’s and Kelsey & Kim’s.

This year’s theme is “Recipe for Success,” showcasing the extraordinary talent and cooking expertise of the students and alumni of the Academy of Culinary Arts.

Each year, nearly 1,000 food enthusiasts attend the gala and have the opportunity to sample wine, beer, and spirits from local wineries, breweries, and distilleries in addition to live music from the Don’t Call Me Francis Band. Culinary students prepare a sumptuous buffet for the reception.

Tickets are $225 per person or a discounted rate of $2,500 per table of 12 and can be ordered by contacting Kristin Jackson at 609-463-362, kjackson@atlantic.edu or by visiting www.atlantic.edu/gala.

The event has raised $3.5 million since 1984, with proceeds supporting scholarships for students attending the Academy of Culinary Arts, an emergency fund for students, and Atlantic Cape Foundation operations.
