LEAPIN’ LEPRECHAUNS!

Atlantic County Library System/Ventnor offers a hidden leprechaun activity for children ages 4 and older March 1-16 during regular branch hours. Find the leprechaun hiding in the children’s department. If you spot the leprechaun, leave him where he is, but alert the librarians and receive a reward. Advise library staff of any food allergies.

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB

Open chess program for all ages  noon-4:30 p.m. Saturdays, March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. SEUSS!

Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2. The free program is suggested for ages 4-7 and registration is suggested. Come honor Dr. Seuss with books, games, themed food and more. Oh, the fun you will have! Advise library staff of any food allergies.

GATHERING WOOL

Adults are welcome to join a quilting and knitting group that meets 10 a.m. to noon every Tuesday, March 5, 12, 19 and 26.The program is free and all levels of experience are welcome. Join the group to stitch, loop, craft and chat, and learn to make original handcrafted blankets, scarves, sweaters and more.

ENGLISH CONVERSATION GROUP 

English conversation group for adults meets 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 5, 12, 19 and 26. Improve your English conversation skills while meeting new people. Discuss a new topic in English in a judgement-free zone. Topics include books, movies, hobbies and current events.

READ & PLAY BABY

Little ones between the ages of 12-36 months are invited to the library’s storytime activity 10:30 a.m. Thursday mornings, March 7, 14, 21 and 28. Enjoy stories, songs, stretches, rhymes, puppets, felt boards, finger plays and more with your child, all designed to develop early literacy skills.

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR HEALTH – DIABETES SELF-MANAGEMENT EDUCATION & SUPPORT

Join this a six-week diabetes workshop 1-3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 12, 19, 26 and April 2, 9 and 16. Learn how to manage your diabetes symptoms, communicate with your health care providers, improve eating and exercise habits, and cope with stress, fear and frustration.

IRISH POTATOES

Children and teens learn how to make yummy Irish potatoes in honor of St. Patrick’s Day 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16. The free program is suggested for ages 7 and older, and registration is recommended. Advise library staff of any food allergies.

MISTER ROGERS DAY

Celebrate Mister Rogers’ birthday 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20. The free program is suggested for ages 3-5. Watch nostalgic clips of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

INTO THE EVENING BOOK CLUB

Monthly book club for adults meets 6:15 p.m. Thursday, March 28. Join in the discussion of great books in good company.This month’s selection is “An American Marriage” by Tayari Jones.

HIGH TEA AND HATS 

The library is hosting a special tea event for adults 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30. Registration is requested. Dress your best for an afternoon of high tea and tasty baked goods. Most importantly, don’t forget your hats. Advise library staff of any food allergies.
