ATLANTIC CITY – Nominations for the 22nd annual Atlantic City Host Awards are being accepted through Friday, March 22. The Atlantic City Host Awards honor employees in the tourism and hospitality industry who go above and beyond expectations to enrich the experience of Atlantic City visitors.
Management personnel may nominate any non‐managerial employee from their hotel, restaurant, retail, tourism or hospitality‐related field, as well as the public sector, in 27 categories.

Nominations are being accepted in the following categories: Best Server, Fine Dining, non-casino; Best Server, Casual Dining, non‐casino; Best Server, Fine Dining Casino Restaurant; Best Server, Casual Dining Casino Restaurant; Best Server, Banquet/Catering; Best Food and Beverage Support; Best Bartender; Best Host/Hostess; Best Visitor Information Service Personnel (Thomas G. Henning Award); Best Retail Sales Associate; Best Valet; Best Door Person; Best Bell Person; Best Room Service Personnel; Best Butler; Best Room Attendant/Housekeeper; Best Food Production Personnel; Best Guest Services/Concierge; Best Heart/Back of the House Personnel; Best Reservationist; Best Security Personnel; Best Casino Games Personnel (Ray Kot Award); Best Casino Support Personnel; Best Public Area Personnel; Best Cashier; Best Cocktail Server; and Best Spa Personnel.

Nominations may be delivered to the CRDA, 2314 Pacific Ave., Atlantic City, or emailed to Doreen Prinzo at dprinzo@njcrda.com. All nominations must be received no later than Friday, March 22.

The Host Awards Selection Committee, which is comprised of hospitality and business professionals, will review all submissions in confidence, and up to five  finalists will be chosen in each category.

The Spirit of Hospitality Award is given to an outstanding individual who has made a long‐lasting and significant contribution to the Atlantic City region’s hospitality and tourism industry. The award embodies the recipient’s spirit and dedication to serving the millions of visitors who come to Atlantic City.

This year’s recipient of the Spirit of Hospitality Award is on‐air multimedia personality Whitney Ullman. Whitney has contributed to the hospitality industry by providing Atlantic City focused, comprehensive coverage of the destination on both local and national media platforms, including FOX29, PHL 17, acweekly.com, nj.com, Philly Style Magazine, E! News, Access Hollywood, TMZ, WMCN and more.

Past recipients of the Spirit of Hospitality Award include Jon Henderson, Good Time Tricycle Productions (2018); Donna Albano, associate professor in the Hospitality and Tourism Management Studies program at Stockton University School of Business (2016); Jean Muchanic, executive director of Absecon Lighthouse (2015); and Superior Court Judge Nelson Johnson, author of the book, “Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City” (2011).

The Host Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 8 in the Adrian Phillips Theater at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. All finalists receive two complimentary tickets to the event ,while family, friends and co‐workers are invited to purchase additional tickets to attend the event and support their nominee.

Tickets are priced at $65 for an individual, and tables of ten are priced at $650.
