To get your community news published on Downbeach.com, send a press release in Word format including all the pertinent information (who, what, where, when and why) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Include the name of the organization submitting the information along with a description of the event or program, location, time and date, and the purpose of the event.
Also include a contact person along with a telephone number and email address in case we have questions or want to develop your submission into a featured news story.
Our website format requires a photo for all postings. Photos generate interest, especially when we share our stories on Facebook. Please send a medium to high-resolution photo in jpg format along with your copy. Include a description of the subject matter along with names and titles for all people in the photo, left to right.
We also publish letters to the editor. We ask that they be timely, brief (500 words or less) and to the point. Please provide the telephone number and email address of the sender.
