Monica Lewinsky will be featured speaker at this year’s The Women’s Forum.

ATLANTIC CITY – Greater Atlantic City Charities will hold its 26th annual Women’s Forum luncheon starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 6 at the Golden Nugget in the marina section. This year’s keynote speaker is social activist and anti-bullying ambassador Monica Lewinsky.

The event includes a reception with silent auction at 10 a.m. followed by the luncheon and Lewsinky’s talk at 11:45 a.m. A fashion show will be presented during the luncheon.

After gaining celebrity status following an affair that led to impeachment proceedings against former President Bill Clinton, Lewinsky started designing handbags under the company name, The Real Monica, Inc. She was a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, worked as a correspondent for a British television station and hosted a realty TV show for Fox Television Network. Lewinsky studied psychology at the London School of Economics and retreated into private life until her 2014 essay for Vanity Fair, titled, “Shame and Survival,” gave her new purpose. Today she speaks out against public shaming and cyberbullying.

The first Women’s Forum Luncheon was held in 1994 to raise funds for pediatric units in the county’s two major hospitals. Since then, it has become an inspirational event for women.

Past speakers include Linda Ellerbee, Suzanne Somers, Ivana Trump, Deepak Chopra, M.D., Joan Rivers, Suze Orman, Guiliana Rancic, Jane Seymour, Jane Pauley, Joy Behar, Liz Smith, Bobbi Brown, Lisa Ling, Dr. Mehemet Oz and other prominent personalities.

The all-volunteer organization has raised more than $2 million for Greater Atlantic City Charities, which include AtlantiCare, Shore Medical Center, First Tee of Atlantic City, The Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City, Jewish Family Services of Atlantic and Cape May Counties and CASA of Atlantic and Cape May Counties.

Tickets are $125 until May 15, when the ticket price increases to $150.
