Rabbi David M. Weis leads a model Seder with the students in third through sixth grade.

NORTHFIELD – Rabbi David M. Weis of Congregation Beth Israel led a Model Seder for students in grades 3-6 Sunday, April 14.

He shared the special traditions Jews the world over share during Passover. Students in grades K-2 participated in a model Seder the week before.

Third graders Emily Kirschenbaum and Ella Barnett perform a Seder ritual where drops of grape juice are spilled for each of the 10 plagues.

Fourth graders Lauren Albert and Cooper Reganato taste the bitter herbs that are traditionally eaten to remember the bitterness of slavery.

Fifth graders Hannah Horwitz and Jessica Wise follow along with the Seder, marking their Bingo cards for rituals and portions of the Passover story.
