The Cape Atlantic Coalition for Health will be offering free skin cancer screenings in Atlantic and Cape May counties during the summer.

Choose Your Cover screenings will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6 at the Newport Avenue gazebo in Ventnor, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20at the 35th Avenue gazebo in Longport.

No registration is required. Screenings will be conducted by Schweiger Dematology and Cape May County Health Department.

Other screenings will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22 at the Ocean City Music Pier; 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Saturday, July 20 at Cape May Convention Hall; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28 at JFK Promenade in Sea Isle City; and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at McClinton Park on New Hampshire Avenue in Atlantic City.

The coalition is a regional chronic disease prevention organization funded by the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Cancer Control and Prevention. The organization works to reduce the state’s cancer burden and improve health outcomes for people with, or at risk for, cancer and other chronic diseases in Atlantic and Cape May counties. Shore Medical Center is lead agency for Atlantic and Cape May counties.
