ATLANTIC CITY – The Atlantic City Free Public Library will hold its third season of free summertime concerts starting in June. The shows will be held on the third Thursday of each month through September at the Atlantic City Free Public Library’s main campus at 1 S. Tennessee Ave. All shows begin at 5 p.m.

  • June 20 – Driftwood Soldier: Finding an identity in the storytelling aspect of traditional folk, Driftwood Solider infuses everything from thumping blues to the punk music of its adolescence, expressed through the mandolin, melodic bass stylings and junk percussion — a suitcase, a license plate snare and “the Jangler,” a bottle cap tambourine contraption – into its music.
  • July 18 – Kingsley Ibeneche: Kingsley Ibeneche dropped his first ever EP in May 2017 titled “CHi”, a work that delivers a range of dynamic tones and explores hip-hop and folk beats. Combining his love of music and dance, Kingsley makes Soul-Experimental music that fuses his physically charged sounds with his melodic and fluid movements.
  • Aug. 15 – Geri Oliver: Geri Oliver is a vocalist making her way across the Philadelphia jazz scene, wooing and wowing audiences and musicians with her sultry sound. The attention she is getting from musical colleagues and the comments of the listening public assures her of a promising future as a performing songstress specializing in jazz.
  • Sept. 19 – Originaire: Entwining soulful strings with sweetly blended male/female vocals, Originaire captivates audiences with heartfelt original songs performed with engaging chemistry and seamless musical precision. The group’s performances including everything from rousing, foot-stomping refrains to raw heart tugging ballads interspersed with candid banter and anecdotes reflective of the band’s unique chemistry and experiences.
