ATLANTIC CITY – Mardi Gras AC on the Boardwalk by TonyMart productions will present its fifth annual concert series 7 p.m. every Wednesday, June 19 through Sept, 4 at Kennedy Plaza on the Boardwalk.
The lineup of 12 consecutive shows begins June 19 with The Nighthawks and the irreverent boogie-woogie piano and comedy of the Reverend Billy C. Wirtz, plus the 11-piece Steely Dan tribute, “Countdown to Ecstasy.”
The stars continue to shine on the Boardwalk July 3 when the saxophone star of the cult rock & roll movie classic, “Eddie & the Cruisers” performs with the Tony Mart Allstars. That show, “The Music that Made Tony Mart’s Famous,“ will feature Michael “Tunes“ Antunes who created and recorded the famous songs from the cult classic movie, including “Dark Side,” “Tender Years,” and “Wild Summer Nights.”
On July 10, gold record recording artist Maria Muldaur will perform traditional New Orleans, Americana and blues/roots rock along with her famous hit song, “Midnight at the Oasis.“
The series ends with the locally-acclaimed Billy Walton Band.
