ATLANTIC CITY – New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Catherine R. McCabe will be the keynote speaker at the second Jersey Shore Beach Report sponsored by the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy and the Coastal Research Center at Stockton University. The event will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 1 at the Stockton University Atlantic City Academic Center, 3711 Atlantic Ave.

McCabe will speak and take questions on coastal issues submitted by the audience.

Other participating speakers are:

  • Ambassador and former U.S. Congressman William J. Hughes, sponsor of the federal ocean dumping ban
  • Stewart Farrell, director of the Coastal Research Center at Stockton University, who will speak on New Jersey beach restoration and municipal coastal issues
  • James Rutala of Rutala Associates LLC who will talk about efforts to develop a coastal resiliency center at Stockton University in Atlantic City.
