Downbeach police departments are collecting school supplies to be donated to the Atlantic City PAL for distribution to children in the community.
School supplies can be dropped off at the Ventnor, Margate and Longport Police Departments, or municipal buildings through Aug. 21, according to the Longport Police Department’s Facebook page.
“If we can accomplish good things as a single entity, we can accomplish great things as a team,” Longport Community Policing Officer Frank Lupperger said.
The supplies will benefit children in the local area for the upcoming school year. Items needed are new book bags, pencils, pens, notebooks, notebook paper, crayons, erasers and folders.
