NJ Office of Emergency Management
VENTNOR – Downbeach emergency management officials will hold their annual Hurricane Preparedness meeting 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at St. James Church Memorial Hall, Newport and Atlantic avenues.
Office of Emergency Management officials from Ventnor, Margate, Longport, Atlantic County, South Jersey Gas, and Atlantic City Electric will be on hand to answer questions.
The event also includes a weather outlook presentation by retired National Weather Service forecaster Jim Eberwine and meteorologist Joe Martucci.
Participants will learn about “go kits” and supplies, evacuations, the Community Emergency Response Team, CodeRED notification system, pet safety, and more.
