GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP – Registration is now open for the annual Stockton University Golf Classic, to be held Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Seaview, a Dolce Hotel, 401 S. New York Road. 

Tournament highlights include a chance to win a par 3 hole-in-one for $1 million, sponsored by Charles Weeks, founder and president of Barrister Wealth Management; closest to the pin challenge for each foursome, sponsored by Pinelands Brewing Company; and the longest drive challenge for each foursome, sponsored by Quality Concepts, Inc. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, golf foursome raffle and a prize grab.

For golfing enthusiasts of all levels, golf lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players will be led by LPGA Professional Debbie O’Connell. Participants will enjoy a reception starting at 3 p.m., followed by 90 minutes of golf instruction. Golf clinic tickets are $50 or $100 and include dinner. The clinic is sponsored by Dr. Barbara Chamberlain.

Co-chairing this year’s event are Lou Barberio, managing partner of Barberio & Rich Financial Services, and Thomas L. Glenn III, president of Glenn Insurance, Inc.

Proceeds from the Golf Classic support the Stockton Foundation’s mission to enrich the student experience. Last year’s tournament raised more than $55,000.

Tickets are are $250 per individual or $1,000 per foursome. The event begins at 11 a.m. with registration and lunch, followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start, scramble format. A cocktail reception, dinner, and awards ceremony will begin at 6 p.m.
