177th Fighter Wing

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Atlantic County residents should be aware that the jets flying overhead in the wee hours of the morning this week and next are just training missions designed for the American defense.

The New Jersey Air National Guard’s 177th Fighter Wing will be conducting night flying training Tuesday through Friday, Oct. 1-4 and Oct. 8-11, according to a post on the 177th Facebook page.

“The training flights are designed to help prepare mission-capable, combat-ready Airmen and aircraft for the homeland defense mission and worldwide deployment in support of U.S. Air Force objectives,” the post stated.

So, just roll over and go back to sleep, if you can.
