Atlantic City Police Department

The Atlantic City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a man that was located in the ocean on Oct. 15.

At 12:27 p.m., patrol officers responded to the beach off of Pacific Avenue for the discovery of a body. Officers located the body of a man that was stuck in the jetty in the ocean. The Atlantic City Fire Department responded to the scene and worked for several hours to remove the body.

The Atlantic City Police Department in cooperation with the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office have been actively working to identify the man, but have been unable to do so. Fingerprint analysis has proven to be inconclusive. In an effort to obtain a positive identification and notify his loved ones, police released further information about the man.

  • Adult male
  • Light skin (unknown race or ethnicity)
  • over 40 years of age
  • 5 feet, 3 inches tall
  • 150 pounds with a lean build
  • No teeth (has not had them for a period of time)
  • Eight inch vertical scar on stomach
  • Wearing a size small Comme Ca ISM Foxes Co. LTD short-sleeve collared button down shirt with tan vertical pinstripes
