The Wonder Bar off Albany Avenue in Atlantic City is the site of an OCHS Crew Team fundraiser, Saturday, Nov. 16.
ATLANTIC CITY – The public is invited to support the Ocean City High School Crew Boosters at a Family Night event being held 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Wonder Bar in Atlantic City.
The event includes a buffet, music and a raffle for a set of AirPod Pros, along with wonderful gift baskets.
Cost for the family-friendly event is $25 at the door.
According to a booster committee press release, this season marks the crew team’s 16th year in competition.
“We have become one of the largest sports teams at Ocean City High school with over 100 rowers. Last year alone, our rowers won or placed in several prestigious races that included Philadelphia City Championships, County Championships, Stotesbury Regatta and SRAA National Championships,” the release stated.
The OC Crew team is a student-operated organization that relies primarily on fundraising. All monies raised go toward covering costs that includes coaching expenses, boat and equipment purchases, ongoing maintenance of the existing equipment and competition entry fees.
