MAYS LANDING – The Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees conducted its annual reorganization meeting Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the Mays Landing campus.

Maria Mento of Ventnor was re-elected as chairperson, James Kennedy, Esq. of Linwood was re-elected vice-chairman and Ellen Nicholson Byrne Esq. of Sea Isle City was re-elected treasurer.

The board also approved new four-year contracts through 2022 with supervisory and administrative personnel, support staff, teachers, librarians and counselors, and exempt personnel and support staff.

The contracts include first-year stipends ranging from $900 to $1,550 with 2% salary increases in years two through four.

The board also approved an increase in pay per credit hour for adjuncts starting in the New Year to $640 per credit for adjuncts and $675 per credit for senior adjuncts.

A pay increase was also approved for college President Barbara Gaba, whom the Board of Trustees rated “outstanding,” specifically noting  her success in cost containment, campus improvements, technology and strengthening community partnerships. Gaba was named one of the African American Women Leaders in New Jersey.

She will receive a 2% salary increase to $187,272, effective July 1, 2019.
