Atlantic City is a great place to celebrate the holidays. Enjoy these free events scheduled during December.

DO A Parade

The Atlantic City Christmas Parade 2 p.m. Dec. 14 on the Boardwalk between Vermont and Albany avenues, includes festive floats, bands, Santa and more.

DO The Library

The Atlantic City Free Public Library offers a wide range of events for the entire family.  Bring the entire brood to the library for family movies on the big screen. Dec. 5, Toy Story 4; Dec. 26,  Elf.

Sing along with your favorite holiday classics during the Atlantic City High School Choir’s Holiday Concert noon Friday, Dec. 6. The concert will be held in the library atrium, 1333 Atlantic Ave.

The library’s Adult Craft Circle offers participants, 18 and older, the chance to show off their knack for creativity. This month’s craft is paper flowers holiday wreath, 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18.

23rd Annual Kwanzaa Celebration will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28. Become enlightened, inspired and entertained as the Universal African Dance and Drum Ensemble will perform. To see a full calendar of free events provided by the library, visit www.acfpl.org

DO A Holiday Musical Light Show

Tropicana Atlantic City will present its Holiday Musical Light Show at the Quarter through Dec. 27 The show features a 35-foot decorated tree with festive lights synchronized to the sounds of the season. Daily shows are presented every hour on the hour starting at noon.

DO Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall

Beginning Dec. 12 the holiday season is in full swing as Boardwalk Hall presents Deck the Hall – Festival of Trees. Sponsored by local businesses, organizations, partners and individuals, more than 20 custom decorated holiday trees will be on display throughout the lobby.
