Santa listens to childhood wishes.

VENTNOR – The city held its fourth annual Tree Lighting Wednesday, Dec. 4 on the south portico of historic City Hall. The tree lighting was schedule to be held Sunday but postponed to Wednesday because of the weather.

Ventnor lit the holiday tree Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019.

A crowd of spectators gathered amid spritzing raindrops to see Mayor Beth Holtzman and Commissioners Lance Landgraf and Tim Kriebel join Santa Claus to turn on the colorful lights strung around the tree.

Children lined up to tell Santa they were good girls and boys this year and ask him to put something special under their tree. Everyone enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies.
