David Feinberg was promoted to the rank of sergeant.

MAYS LANDING – Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Scheffler, started the new year with the promotions of two employees.

Det. Jacob Feinberg, 34, of Egg Harbor Township was promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Feinberg began his career in 2009 as a corrections officer and transferred to the Sheriff’s Office in 2011 where he worked in the Operations Division for three years.  In 2014, he was assigned to the Warrants Division as a detective where he was responsible for locating and apprehending persons who failed to appear in Superior Court on indictable charges.  He served in this capacity until his recent promotion.

Israel Palow has been named chief telecommunicator.

On Jan. 6, Communications Supervisor Israel Palow, 41, of Absecon was promoted to the rank of chief telecommunicator.  Palow began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 2002 when he was hired as a telecommunicator trainee.  He worked his way up to full-time and was named supervisor in 2011, a position he has held until his recent promotion.

Scheffler said he could not be prouder of the two.

“They give a 100% every day they come to work and are dedicated to providing the best possible service to our county and the citizens we serve,” Scheffler stated.

The new positions take effect immediately.
