VENTNOR – The most important duty of the Board of Education is to hire a superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operation of the school district.

Ventnor Superintendent Eileen Johnson has announced her retirement at the end of this school year and the board is starting the process of hiring her replacement.

In an effort to gain an understanding of the qualities and attributes the community values when hiring a new superintendent, the board is asking the public to provide some insight on what they would like to see in a superintendent.

Community members, parents, staff and students are being asked to provide input through an online survey on the district’s website, www.veccnj.org

The survey is available in English and Spanish.

The board will also host several public forums to gain additional feedback from stakeholders.
