Complete Count: Census 2020 job fair, Friday, Feb. 14 at Atlantic Cape, Mays Landing.

MAYS LANDING – Hundreds of temporary jobs are available this spring and summer with the Complete Count: U.S. Census 2020.

Congressman Jeff Van Drew announced a job fair will be held noon-3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 in C-Building, Room C-3 at Atlantic Cape Community College Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike.

Those who attend are asked to park in Lots 3 or 4.

Workers are needed to count everyone living in the U.S. to determine how federal funding is distributed to states and municipalities each year and how many Congressional seats each state receives. The Census has been held every 10 years since 1790 and federal law prohibits the Census Bureau from releasing any identifiable information about those who participate, even to law enforcement agencies.

Census jobs usually last several weeks, and offer competitive wages, paid training and flexible hours. Positions include Census takers, who will go door to door to reach residents in hard-to-count neighborhoods, field supervisors, recruiters, clerks and supervisors.

Applicants must be 18 years or older. Bilingual applicants are encouraged.
