EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – A group of Atlantic and Cape May County green teams, associated under the Sustainable Jersey Regional Hub, will be hosting a forum 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 16 to discuss resiliency against climate disasters.

The “Is Your Community Prepared?” event will be held at the National Aviation Research and Technology Park, 600 Aviation Research Blvd, located near Atlantic City International Airport and the William J. Hughes Technical Center.

The event will take a comprehensive look at what communities can do to be more resilient against coastal and river flooding and wildfires. State and local experts will share current threats and strategies that can protect communities. Communities that are using innovative ways to address these issues will also be represented.

Speakers include NJ Chief Resilience Officer David Rosenblatt, National Estuarine Research Reserve Watershed Coordinator Lisa Auermuller, NJ Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council member Bill Brash, Waterford Township Emergency Management Coordinator David Chiddenton and SustainableJersey Public Engagement Coordinator Lauren Skowonski.
