Activated in 1941, the band has a rich history inspiring patriotism and esprit de corps among all branches of the U.S. Miltary. The band is stationed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia and travels throughout the Carolinas, mid-Atlantic and northeast regions, holding more than 300 events each year for the American public and in support of military morale and protocol events. Under the leadership of Maj. Raphael Toro-Quinones, the band is at the forefront of communicating Air Force core values and preserving and enriching America’s military and musical heritage.
