Margate Public Library

MARGATE – Effective 4 p.m. today, Monday, March 16, the Margate City Public Library and the Margate Historical Society will be closed until further notice as per instructions from state, county and local officials. All operations are suspended.

The closure means:

  • All programs are cancelled until further notice. This includes story hour, Tai Chi, book clubs, foreign film screenings, FELS and more.
  • Book drops will be locked. Materials can be returned after the library reopens.
  • Fines will be waved and patrons can ignore any automatically generated notices to return late material.
  • All holds that have been placed will be honored when it become possible to do so.

Online digital services, such as Kanopy, Hoopla, and Overdrive (Libby) are available while the library is closed.

The City of Margate will notify the library when it can reopen.
