VENTNOR – The next regular meeting of the Ventnor City Board of Education scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 will be held via telecommunications.

Members of the public will be able to attend virtually and public comment will be held.

Members of the public can log onto the school website, www.veccnj.org for the link to the meeting.

There are no changes to the previously advertised budget at this time. However, Business Administrator Terri Nowotny said district staff would be meeting on Friday, March 20 to discuss the budget.

The Board of School Estimate is scheduled to meet Monday, March 30 at Ventnor City Hall to review the budget, hold a public hearing and vote on the budget.

The school board March 3 approved the $23 million budget for submission to the county superintendent. The budget includes an 8.5% increase in the tax levy, mostly due to a $1 million increase in tuition for students to attend Atlantic City High School.

No information is available at this time about how the Board of School Estimate meeting would be conducted.
