Meeting change

The Ventnor City Board of School Estimate meeting will be held 6 p.m. Monday, April 6 via Zoom teleconferencing.

The matter to be discussed at the meeting will be the 2020-2021 School Budget.  Action will be taken.

The meeting was rescheduled from its original date on March 30.

According to Ventnor Mayor Beth Holtzman, the meeting was rescheduled to allow board members and the public to observe social distancing in accordance with Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order barring gatherings of more than 10 people.

The city had planned to live-stream the meeting on its Facebook page, which would have required in-person attendance by the board members. The public, however, would have been able to ask questions in the comments section of the live-streamed broadcast.

The meeting was rescheduled with proper 48-hour notification to the public via legal advertising, school Business Administrator Terri Nowotny said.

The meeting will be held using the Zoom online platform, which allows all members and the public to attend video conference remotely.

Members of the public will be able to participate during public comments.

Log onto the school website at www.veccnj.org for instructions on how to join the meeting.
