On Sunday, April 26, the Atlantic County Division of Public Health confirmed 62 new cases of COVID-19 among 35 females, ages 6-93, and 27 males, ages 8-86. This brings the number of cases countywide to 668 with 29 deaths. Nineteen additional residents have been cleared as recovered for a total of 127 to date.

Twenty-five of today’s new positives were confirmed in Hammonton, seven in Absecon, and four each in Egg Harbor Township, Galloway Township and Linwood. Three cases were found in Buena, Hamilton Township and Pleasantville, while two positives were reported in Atlantic City and Northfield. Brigantine, Egg Harbor City, Margate, Somers Point and Ventnor each had one new case.

Atlantic County will continue to provide drive-thru COVID-19 testing next week on Tuesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 30, by appointment only, for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription. The testing will be conducted 10 a.m. to 1p.m. behind the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing.

Residents may make an appointment online at www.aclink.org. In addition to the doctor’s prescription, residents must also provide proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, as well as the appointment confirmation.

Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so that others will have an opportunity to be tested.
