Provided/Hispanic Association of Atlantic County recently held a food distribution in Atlantic City. Another is planned for Saturday, May 2 at Our Lady Star of the Sea.

ATLANTIC CITY – In an effort to provide stability in uncertain times, the Hispanic Association of Atlantic County will be distributing food packages 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church parking lot, 15 N. California Ave.

“We are in this together and dedicated to providing a source of stability in these uncertain times. Together, we will pull through this and emerge stronger,” Advocacy Chairman Irvin Moreno-Rodriguez.

Food packages will be distributed to the first 500 families (one food basket per household).

At this time, the food distribution is only for Atlantic City residents, but two other distributions open to all residents are planned for the near future.

Participants must show a valid ID or document showing proof of address. Social distancing rules will be enforced during this distribution. Face coverings or masks are required.
