The Margate City Police Department is seeking information about an incident on the 200-block of N. Vendome Avenue that occurred Sunday and Monday, April 19 and 20.

Police are currently investigating acts of criminal mischief that resulted in a vehicle being vandalized during the night.

According to the victim, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday April 19, an unknown female approached his residence requesting to speak with a 19-year-old occupant of the residence. The 19-year-old occupant fled the location. An unknown male, who was accompanying the female, became agitated and broke a window at the home. The male and female fled the scene in a red Acura with New Jersey license plates.

In the early morning hours of April 20, it was discovered that the victim’s car had been vandalized during the night. Police believe the unknown male and female from the earlier incident are responsible for the car being vandalized, according to a release.

Police called the incident “isolated and specific.” No other vehicles in the area were damaged. Although the vandalized vehicle had Pennsylvania license plates, it did not contribute to it being vandalized.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Det. Erin Borrelli at 609-822-1151.
