The Longport Public Library has rescheduled an author event with Elin Hilderbrand for summer 2021, but the library will present authors Kate Quinn and Ann Napolitano if conditions allow. The library will monitor the coronavirus to ensure compliance with social distancing recommendations.

Kate Quinn, best-selling author of historical fiction, who has written seven novels, including “The Alice Network,” will appear 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17.

Ann Napolitano, the 2020 New York Times best-selling author of “Dear Edward,” will appear 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24.

Registration for the 2020 Summer Author Series opens 9 a.m. May 1 for Longport residents, June 8 for other towns. Residents can register for up to two tickets to each author event by calling 609-487-7403.

The Sandy Pages book club selection for June is “Little Fire Everywhere,” by Celeste Ng.

Although the library is closed at this time, library staff are available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday to help patrons access its digital collections.
