No new deaths due to COVID-19 were reported today by Atlantic County health officials, however, 42 additional residents have been confirmed positive. They include 19 males, ages 22-80, and 23 females, ages 1-67.

Eighteen more residents have been cleared as recovered for a total of 1,944 of the 3,539 residents who have tested positive. COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 239 county residents to date.

Atlantic County will continue to provide COVID-19 testing at its drive-thru facility in Northfield at Rt. 9 and Dolphin Avenue, behind the county public works yard, 9-11:30 a.m. each Tuesday in August.

The test site is available for both symptomatic and asymptomatic county residents with or without a doctor’s prescription. Residents must make an appointment for testing and provide proof of county residency and appointment confirmation.

Appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel no less than 24 hours in advance so others may have an opportunity to fill those spots.

A list of additional testing locations in Atlantic County is available at: https://www.atlantic-county.org/covid/additional-testing-locations.asp
