Longport Beach Patrol
The Longport Beach Patrol has just announced that Longport beaches would be closed to swimming Tuesday, Aug. 4 due to tropical storm Isaias.
The tropical storm is expected to be upgraded to hurricane status before it hits land in Florida later today. It will skirt the East Coast, affecting every state along the eastern seaboard.
Wind is expected to cause extremely rough surf and it will be too dangerous for anyone to enter the ocean.
