File/North Beach Meet and Greet 2019.

VENTNOR – Crazy COVID-19 will not stop the North Beach Residents Association from having its annual Porch Party. However, this year the annual event, which invites certain homeowners to open their front porches to visitors, will be held virtually this year.

The event will be held via the Zoom meeting platform 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.

According to association leadership, families will unite for a Zoom happy hour from their porches, balconies, decks and living rooms, complete with tasty treats and adult drinks.

Participants from the North Beach Ventnor area will be provided with Zoom access information after registering with the organization in advance. Email your plans to participate to northbeachventnor@gmail.com.

During the Porch Party, a roving vehicle will be passing through North Beach streets selling North Beach Ventnor merchandise and 50/50 tickets. Residents are advised to look for the big red Cadillac and flag it down to purchase North Beach T-shirts, sweat shirts, hats, flags and tote bags at a discount. Purchasers are asked to wear masks when approaching the vehicle. To accommodate those who live in high-rise communities, the vehicle will stop at Vassar Square at 5:15 p.m., 5000 Boardwalk at 5:45 p.m. and at the Regency at 6:15 p.m.
