The Atlantic County State Health Insurance Assistance Program is providing free webinars to help educate and inform residents about the annual Medicare open enrollment period that begins Oct. 15 and runs through Dec. 7.
“Medicare plans change year to year, as can an individual’s health needs,” Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson said. “Atlantic County’s certified SHIP counselors offer trusted and unbiased assistance so residents can make the best choices to meet their needs.”
Selections made during Open Enrollment take effect on Jan. 1, 2021.
The webinars are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 29, Oct. 27 and Nov. 17.
Participants will learn about the basic Medicare coverage, changes in coverage, and supplemental coverage options as well as how to obtain free personalized assistance.
