MAYS LANDING – Limited spots remain to participate in the 2020 Atlantic Cape Community College Scramble ‘FORE’ Scholarships Golf Tournament, Friday, Oct. 16, at the Cape May National Golf Club. Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by a scramble format, with a shotgun-start at 11:30 a.m.
Individuals and businesses can also support the event through sponsorship and advertising opportunities ranging from $150 to $5,000. Last year’s tournament raised more than $42,000 for student aid.
Proceeds from this year’s event will support scholarships for students pursuing degrees in nursing and health sciences. These future healthcare heroes need your support now more than ever.
Highlights of the day include a scramble format, tasty boxed lunch, beverage and snack stations on the course, skills challenges, specialty cocktail bar sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, giveaways, prizes for the top seven tournament winners, 50/50 cash and merchandise raffles, and a barbeque-style after party.
The Atlantic Cape Foundation and Cape May National Golf Club are closely following federal guidance and executive orders issued by the State of New Jersey to provide a safe and fun environment for all participants and volunteers.
Due to the generosity of community supporters such as the event’s Presenting Sponsor, Cape May National Golf Club, and returning Honors Sponsor, Crest Wealth Management, this annual golf tournament has raised nearly $475,000 to benefit students attending Atlantic Cape Community College. Atlantic Cape established the foundation in 1978 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity to build a broad base of financial support for its programs and services. Foundation members are drawn from local industry and small businesses and represent a broad cross-section of active leaders in the community. The foundation has raised more than $5 million for scholarships, foundation operations and to enhance academic programs and the campus environment. Annually, the foundation provides nearly $600,000 for institutional scholarships, grants and emergency help.
