GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP – Learn how to read and appreciate poems in an online short course offered in October by the Stockton University Institute for Lifelong learning.
Nancy Reddy, Ph.D., assistant professor of writing and first-year studies, will lead the reading and discussion of a variety of contemporary poems and talk through strategies for reading and enjoying poetry.
Classes for the course, “Reading Poems: Place, Magic, Persona,” will be held online from 3-4 p.m. Oct. 7, 14, 21, and 28.
Reddy is the author of “Double Jinx” (Milkweed Editions, 2015), a 2014 winner of the National Poetry Series, and Acadiana (Black Lawrence Press, 2018).
