ABSECON – A representative from the Atlantic County Superintendent of Elections Office will be visiting the Lion’s Center for the Blind to provide a live voting machine demonstration with speech component for individuals with disabilities 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 20 at The center, 100 Crestview Ave.

While the Nov. 3 General Election is being conducted primarily with vote-by-mail ballots, voters with disabilities that prevent them from voting by paper ballot will have access to an assistive voting device at their designated polling site and at all polling locations throughout the state, according to the New Jersey Division of Elections.

Those who would like to attend the live voting machine demonstration will have their temperatures taken upon arrival. Face coverings and social distancing will be required and indoor capacity will be restricted to 25%, as per current state guidelines to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
