Longport Police SUV was damaged in a rear-end collision, Friday, Oct. 16, 2020.

LONGPORT – Police are investigating a crash that left a police SUV with rear-end damage and two people, including a police officer, injured.

According to a release, the crash occurred at 1:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 in the area of Atlantic and Evergreen avenues.
Police said SLEO II Matthew Long was seated in the vehicle parked parked on the side of the road when it was struck from behind by a Jeep Renegade being driven by Alana Farr of Margate. Police said Farr was speeding before the crash.
Both drivers were transported to Atlantic City Medical Center City Division where they were treated and later released.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
